Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The pristine beaches of Ngapali on Myanmar’s western coastline.

Rooms at Amara Ocean Resort

Accommodation at Amara Ocean Resort comes in the form of 28 luxurious bungalows, scattered across a wide palm grove along the beach. The traditional bungalows are built of wood and thatch, reflecting their natural surroundings, and are appointed to the height of luxury and comfort inside.

Food & drink

Amara Ocean Resort’s beautiful restaurant features a large terrace overlooking the ocean and offers high quality Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, along with a selection of fine wines. The restaurant makes the most of its seafront location, specialising in fresh local seafood and shellfish, as well as homegrown fruit and vegetables from the hotel’s own garden. The Ungbin Bar, meanwhile, is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy an exotic cocktail while you watch the sun go down over the ocean.

Facilities

In addition to the stunning swimming pool, Amara Ocean Resort offers a library stocked with books, CDs and games, a TV lounge, and a tempting boutique selling locally crafted jewellery and textiles. If you fancy a new beach outfit, the on site tailor will whip up bespoke clothing in no time, totally unique to you. If you're in need of a little TLC, the spa area offers an oasis of wellness.
