The bar and dining room at Big Cave Camp are centred around one of the huge granite rocks for which the Matobo Hills are famous, meaning that you’ll enjoy the delicious home cooked food while you take in the unique character of the region.

Activities at Big Cave Camp

Guided game walks and drives, where rhino and leopard are among the animals on show, are available from the camp, as are excursions to the grave of arch-imperialist Cecil Rhodes atop ‘World’s View’. Privately guided safaris with local expert Dave Waddy are also available, while a visit to the nearby Ndebele Village is a fascinating cultural experience.
