Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Changa Safari Camp is situated in a private concession area within the famed Matusadona National Park. It is situated on the eastern most peninsula and is the only permanent private camp in the national park.

Rooms at Changa Safari Camp

Accommodation is in the form of eight East African style tents, two of which are family units with an inter-leading children’s tent. Each tent features en-suite facilities, an "under the stars" bath and shower and private deck with stunning lake and mountain views. The spacious, tasteful bedrooms are each furnished with their own décor.

Food & drink

Homemade and using locally sourced ingredients, Changa Safari Camp’s delicious cuisine will energise you for a day in the great outdoors, with dinner on the beach and drinks by the firepit the perfect way to unwind in the evenings.

An early morning continental breakfast precedes the morning activities, while lunch is enjoyed at a leisurely pace on the main elevated deck, either in the shade of the thatched open air dining room or under the zig-zag terminalia tree overlooking the shoreline. Before your afternoon activities, you can enjoy a selection of teas, local coffee and tasty sweet treats and at 7.30pm you will be heralded by the beating of the drum to the beach for a candle-lit dinner.

Facilities

The hub of the camp is the central entertainment area, which has a bar, lounge and dining room. Changa Safari Camp also has a beautiful deck and swimming pool, which are situated by the lake for continous game viewing.

Activities at Changa Safari Camp
