The lodge is located on Chilo Gorge, with spectacular views over the essential life force of the Save River (the park’s northern boundary), and the national park beyond.

Rooms at Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge

Three types of accommodation are offered at Chilo Gorge. There are 10 luxury king or twin rooms with a private balcony and seating area, offering stunning views of the park below. Inspired by nature, interiors are simple and elegant with bespoke, locally crafted touches.

Food and facilities

There is a friendly and informal bar, library, various lounges, a large infinity pool and a restaurant with several dining areas. This central area also boasts panoramic views across the Save River into the park.

Activities at Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge

A range of activities are on offer in this remote corner of Zimbabwe. Enjoy guided game drives and walks in the park, or birding in the Tambahata Pan; experience the local Shangaan way of life with a Mahenye Village visit; take a boat cruise on the Save River or a walk to Chivilila Falls; fish; or enjoy an excursion to the iconic and beautiful Chilojo Cliffs.
