The Victoria Falls are guaranteed to take your breath away whenever you visit, but for game and other natural spectacles there are specific times of year to bear in mind.
Between April and June there’ll be the odd shower, but this means the falls are at their most spectacular. After this, the water levels are going down, and the weather is hotting up, so by the time it gets to October you can take a glorious dip in the Devil’s Pool rock pool.
As for game viewing, October to November is a fantastic time, whilst the cooler months of June and July are especially good for walking safaris in the South Luangwa. October to November will be extremely hot, but is made up for by eles wandering right through your camp, and the magnificent spectacle of the Kasanka bat migration.
