The lodge sits on the banks of the Zambezi river bordering the Lower Zambezi National Park, and is sandwiched between it and scenic mountains.

Rooms at Royal Zambezi Lodge

There are 15 tented rooms and suites that include a family unit and three Presidential Suites. All stand-alone and spacious, the large green canvas tents under thatch roofs are positioned for maximum views and complete privacy. All tents are impeccably furnished with a contemporary style, comfort and muted bush colours. The deluxe and presidential suites have their own plunge pools to enjoy at your leisure.

Food and Facilities

Royal Zambezi Lodge prides itself in serving the highest level of cuisine, and will happily tailor menus for dietary requirements. Meals here can be taken at your leisure to so you don’t have to stop your days fishing or your game drive. Everything can be prepared for you so you can enjoy outdoor buffet lunches in the National Park or spend a romantic evening having a candlelit dinner by a campfire on a deserted island on the Zambezi River. Make sure to visit the Royal Bush Spa after a long game drive for a soothing massage or therapeutic treatment in this tranquil refuge.

The location of the Royal Zambezi Lodge was chosen for the opportunities for guests to experience a wide variety of activities. The National Park is a fantastic place to spot game, including the endangered wild dogs, as well as an incredible range of bird life. The guides have a combined experience of 50 years and will ensure you get the most out of each activity. Alternatively, spend your time on the river with a river safari or try the incredibly popular canoe safari. With so much to do and see, you will be encouraged to simply stay at the lodge and do nothing at all and marvel at this incredible place.
