Hotel Overview

Where

Right on the Zambezi River, Toka Leya is 12km from Victoria Falls and 30 minutes from Livingstone Airport.

Rooms at Toka Leya

Airy, air-conditioned and beautifully decorated, the 12 safari tents at Toka Leya are luxuriously appointed. The king beds are draped in mosquito nets and mini-bars are well stocked, plus you can choose a room with either an indoor or outdoor shower. Marvel at the extraordinary landscape from your private deck; you’ll no doubt spot all sorts of animals from here, like hippos lounging in the river.

Food and facilities

The chefs at Toka Leya prepare a range of exquisite dishes at every meal: for breakfast, try the eggs Benedict, and for dinner go for the home-made pizzas, baked in the wood-fired oven – they are arguably the best pizzas this side of Italy. Meanwhile the glittering infinity pool is the perfect place to wind down after a day out on safari, cocktail in hand, with views of the wilderness stretching out to the horizon.

Activities at Toka Leya

Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park heaves with all sorts of wildlife, like buffalo, rhino and giraffe – best seen on a game drive from the lodge – as well as hippo, crocodile and elephant which you can spot on a sunset cruise along the Zambezi. For an adrenalin-fuelled adventure, the Zambezi is the ultimate playground, with activities such as white water rafting, jet boating and bungee jumping to get stuck into.
