When to go to Uganda

A kingdom of lush tropical highlands, Uganda experiences rain all year round but this certainly isn’t enough to put you off a once in a lifetime gorilla trek.

The wettest months are April and May and should be avoided if possible as the roads may be unstable, and jungle tracks will be slippery. Those who are after safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park will find the best game viewing and driest conditions between June and September.

Overall though, conditions are unpredictable so the ball’s really in your court when you’d like to go.
