Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

A quiet garden square in the heart of Zanzibar’s ancient Stone Town.

Rooms at Beyt al Chai

Simple, but ravishingly romantic. There are traditional Zanzibari four poster beds (not for the super-tall, but beautiful all the same), antique furniture, and rich silk and organza drapes.  Each room has deep stone bath-tubs, and a fan gently spinning overhead.

Food & Drink

Food at Beyt al Chai has long been highly praised. Reflecting the heritage of the island itself, the cooking blends Zanzibari coconut and spices with European influences. Seafood is fresh as can be, and there’s a mouthwatering selection of tropical fruit for breakfast.

The hotel is in a great location for guests see the town and all of its facilities.

Activities at Beyt al Chai

With a central location in Stone Town, Beyt al Chai is in a perfect spot to discover the old town, and explore the whole of Zanzibar Island. Enjoy getting lost in the winding alleyways, find a rooftop bar to watch the sun set over the harbour, and stop in a coffee house for the finest Tanzanian cuppa!
