Serian's Serengeti South Camp is a mobile tented camp that operates between December and May in the southernmost part of the Serengeti, in the Ngorongoro Conservation area. This region is prime territory for witnessing the incredible Great Migration, a mind-blowing spectacle of thousands of wildebeest and zebra stampeding in pursuit of fresh grass where they can graze and reproduce. The camp is set up on the short grass plains of Kakessio, and offers stylish safari tents, superb guides and excellent food.

The camp is located in the southernmost extreme of the Serengeti’s short grass plains making it the best place to view the wildebeest birthing season in full swing. Moreover, as it is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area it is within one of the best places to spot the Big 5.

This exclusive camp consists of only 6 luxurious meru style tents. Each tent is warmly lit and spacious with plush décor and en suites that consist of flushing toilets and bucket showers, perfectly combining a classic safari experience with indulgent home comforts.

Food & Drink

Dine on “farmhouse fresh” cuisine family-style with fellow guests in the candlelit mess tent. For a special occasion or a little more privacy, dining can also be arranged in your tent.

Facilities

The camp provides each group with a private vehicle as well as a private guide for all safari activities. There are power outlets available for charging up devices.

Activities at Serian's Serengeti South Camp

The quality guiding and safari experiences offered are the prime focus here. Private game drives to spot the Big 5 and witness the Great Migration are available, together with off-road driving to get as close as possible to the action. Night drives, guided walking safaris and hot air ballooning can also be arranged. For a cultural encounter, take the opportunity to walk with the Hadzabe hunger-gatherers and learn of their survival skills in the harsh African bush.
