Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Little Oliver’s Camp is located in the remote south-eastern part of Tarangire National Park, a kilometre downstream from Oliver’s Camp. It overlooks the floodplains of the Minyoyo Pools and is surrounded by wildlife, where migratory herds and predators roam. Tarangire is not only home to elephants and buffaloes, but also to big cats, including lions, leopards and cheetahs, who roam landscapes of forests, grasslands, ancient baobab trees and wildflowers.

Rooms at Little Oliver's Camp

The five tents, including one triple tent, sit on stilts beside the Tarangire River and are traditionally styled, with furniture fashioned from reclaimed dhow wood and Maasai bead lampshades. Providing a luxury spin on a back-to-basics bush camp, they have private bathrooms with flush toilets, plus indoor and outdoor showers. Reinvigorate with an al fresco shower as impalas and zebras trot by, then watch the wildlife frolicking in the waters of the Minyoyo Pools from your private viewing deck.

Food & Drink

Mealtimes are a delight in themselves - dining outdoors with your fellow guests, you will enjoy locally sourced ingredients curated by experienced chefs. Start your day with a tasty breakfast, including yoghurt, French toast, eggs, bacon and sometimes a cheese board. Lunch is served buffet-style, paired with salads followed by dessert. In the evenings, have a delectable three-course meal. To make the most out of your day, request a packed breakfast or lunch that you can eat in the bush while exploring your surroundings.

Facilities

After a long day of adventure, relax at the camp’s bar and enjoy a drink or two, followed by some night-time stargazing.

Activities at Little Oliver's Camp

Wake up to the sound of elephants enjoying breakfast beside your room then join your friendly, knowledgeable guides for off-road game drives in specialised vehicles in a quest to fulfil your wildlife wishlist, perhaps stopping to photograph the park's spectacular baobab trees. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to experience Tanzania's diverse flora and prolific birdlife from a closer perspective, as well as thrilling night drives.

For a truly unique view of the vast plains of the Tarangire, take to the skies on a hot-air balloon safari.
