Hotel Overview

Where

Perfectly located within easy strolling distance of Franschhoek’s award-winning restaurants, art galleries boutiques- a 55-minute drive from the Cape Town International Airport.

Rooms at Leeu House

A contemporary take on Franschhoek’s traditional Cape Dutch heritage, the 12 large rooms are individually styled with neutral and calm colours, French influences and en suite marble bathrooms. The rooms are split into four categories- Classic, Deluxe, Deluxe with terrace and Grande Suite with terrace- and with their own private garden or intimate courtyard, we suggest booking a room with a terrace for an unbeatable evening spent basking in the late sun with a refreshing glass of white wine.

Food and facilities

With divine cuisine prepared by executive chef, Oliver Cattermole, your meals will showcase the best organic and ethically farmed produce in creative fusions of vibrant colours and delicious flavours. Taking your meals in The Conservatory or al fresco on the terrace, retire after a wonderful day in the lounge, which with an open wood-burning fireplace and views of the garden and oak trees, will help you relax along with the very well-stocked bar.

Activities at Leeu House

Amongst the serene landscaped gardens, get your fill of South Africa’s artistic culture by looking at the fantastic sculptures created by Angus Taylor, which are dotted around the property. Cool down with a swim in the 15-metre swimming pool or use the complimentary bikes to explore the stunning area.
