rooms at Strandloper Ocean

Strandloper Ocean’s 14 rooms and suites combine a laid-back, beachy aesthetic with high standards of comfort and luxury. Each one has its own terrace or courtyard, where you can enjoy relaxing in the sun in privacy, and a lounge with fireplace if you fancy curling up indoors. Nature King Suites are built on the banks of a riverbed and boast stunning views over the rugged western coastline, while Courtyard Rooms beautifully combine indoor and outdoor living, with large doors opening onto the sheltered courtyards and outdoor showers.

Paternoster is renowned for its food, particularly seafood and lobster, and Strandloper Ocean does that tradition proud with its daily-changing menu. At the Leeto Restaurant, you can start the day off right with a hearty full English breakfast, returning in the evening to enjoy sumptuous seafood dishes like West Coast oysters, lobsters, and any other number of fresh fruits de mer. A traditional South African braii barbeque is the perfect way to end the day. Choose from an extensive selection of South African wines to accompany your food.

The hotel features a 20m lap pool and adjacent sun deck, perfect for getting a few lengths in or just lolling in the sun. At the Elements Wellness Suite, a range of organic spa treatments are on offer to help you recover after a day’s adventures, while the Ocean Boutique is a great place to pick up a one-of-a-kind South African artefact as a souvenir of your trip.
