Rooms at umSisi House

umSisi House has three en suite bedrooms in the main house and a further two bedrooms in the cottage, which share a bathroom with a double shower. The rooms are spacious with modern African décor and superb views of the Legogote Mountain and the village, Masoyi.

Food & drink

All planned to your requirements before arrival, the delicious food at umSisi House is a real highlight and places strong emphasis on local, seasonal and organic produce.Breakfast is a display of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, breads and hot specials, while lunch, usually a sumptuous picnic hamper, can be loaded into the safari vehicle and had in the park.


After your day in the bush, you’ll return to gourmet gin and tonics and biltong on the terrace, followed by dinner served at the chef’s table in the open-plan kitchen paired with a fine bottle from the property’s large cellar of South African wines.

Facilities

In between your activities, you can take advantage of umSisi House’s facilities by soaking up the African sun from a lounger by the pool or by resting in the Jacuzzi or with a massage treatment. Practice some deep relaxation techniques and find your inner Zen during a yoga class on the veranda, surrounded by the peaceful gardens and serenaded by the local birdlife. 

Activities at umSisi House

Within the vicinity, there are 10kms of hiking trails that will take you through woodlands, indigenous meadows and local villages. If you hop into a 4x4, you can take day trips to Kruger with an experienced guide or visit the nearby Iso Labantwana Project, an initiative dedicated to improving the lives of orphans and vulnerable children.


If you are here for a few days and already ticked off the Big Five, you can then go on a tour of the Panorama Route with a knowledgeable local, take part in an elephant interaction walk, go white water rafting, try your hand at quad biking or horse riding, enjoy a helicopter flight over Blyde River Canyon or fly over the valley on an aerial cable trail.
