Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Shaded by majestic trees overlooking the Nhlaralumi riverbed this unfenced safari camp seamlessly combines nature and luxury.

Rooms at Tanda Tula Safari Camp

The safari camp consists of 12 secluded, luxury tents with gorgeous views of the river. They channel the style of East African tents, featuring en-suite bathrooms, Victorian bathtubs, outdoor showers and a veranda, which faces the African bush.

Meanwhile the field camp is made up of four explorer tents with outdoor bathrooms and hot water bucket showers and eco toilets. There is no electricity here but rather oil and solar lanterns, which ensures that you have an unplugged getaway, truly enveloped by nature.

Food & drink

Between adventures, you’ll be treated to bush breakfasts on the riverbank, continental or cooked. Lunches are set up in different locations around the camp and dinner can be enjoyed in the outdoor boma or under the starry night sky, while romantic dinners and picnics by the dinner bed can also be arranged.

Facilities

Books and games are available for those quiet moments and the infinity pool and bar offer superb places to relax and unwind with magnificent views of the watering hole, which is often frequented by buffalo and elephant.

We recommend indulging in a spa treatment in the open-air therapy hide, where you can enjoy a pamper while elephants wade into the water for a mud bath.

Activities at Tanda Tula Safari Camp

From Tanda Tula you’ll set off for guided walks in the morning and track game on foot, venturing through the untouched wilderness and learning about the flora and fauna of the area. Then, on the twice daily game drives you are likely to encounter elephants, buffalo, leopards, lions, rhino, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest and more.
