Hotel Overview

sense of place

Sitting in the Makulele Concession of the Kruger National Park, Pafuri is surrounded by incredible natural diversity; this area of the park contains 75% of its biodiversity in just 1% of its total area. It’s photogenic, too, with the banks of the Limpopo River covered with fever tree forests and opening out onto plains dotted with baobab trees.

rooms at pafuri camp

Accommodation at Pafuri is spread between 19 luxury designer tents, each very comfortable with en suite bathrooms. The tents are raised on wooden walkways, so you can watch wildlife gathering to drink at the river uninterrupted, and have wooden floors and funky, colourful furniture. 7 of the tents are family tents, ideal for groups of up to 4 people.

food & drink

Returning from your early morning game drive, you’ll be greeted with a hearty breakfast spread, with afternoon tea served just before your afternoon adventure. An alfresco barbequed dinner beneath the stars is a magnificent way to end a day in the great outdoors. There’s also a bush bar where you can enjoy a refreshing drink while taking in views of the wilderness, and a fully-stocked wine cellar for you to choose from.

facilities

The camp features a communal swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after an afternoon game drive. As well as the bush bar, there’s a comfortable lounge area where you can enjoy a drink and chat with your fellow guests about the day’s adventures. Kids of all ages are welcome at Pafuri, and 7 of the tents are family tents which sleep up to 4 people.
