Rooms at &Beyond Ngala Tented Camp

Shaded by a canopy of giant trees and caught between the dense riverine forest and the sandy bed of the Timbavati River, the nine tents are set on raised platforms with outdoor showers, oversized baths, extra-length beds and large gauze screen windows.

In winter, the river dries up, providing the excellent opportunity of having an al fresco dinner in the middle of the waterbed. Dine on the Pan-African cuisine, a blend of ethnic African recipes with local ingredients and succulent game meat, before snuggling by the fire to watch the stars come out.
