Location: Garden Route & Little Karoo | South Africa

Price guide: £££££ £200-£350 per person per night

Amongst a crop of farm-style guesthouses and hotels in pretty seaside towns, Tsalas offers something different - a treehouse lodge in the bush: charming, wild, and full of romance. Here, you’re just a short drive from some of the Garden Route’s best loved attractions, but with a room like this, we’d find it difficult to leave.
Perfect forHoneymoons, bush lovers and old romantics.
In the knowMake sure you’re back in your room with a cool drink in time for sunset - it’d be tricky to find a sundowner view better than this!

Hotel Overview

Where

Ten minutes drive from Plettenberg Bay, in the centre of the Garden Route.

Rooms at Tsala Treetop Lodge

Breathing romance from every plank, these beautiful treehouses gaze out over the forest canopy. For hot sunny days there are secluded plunge pools on the deck of each room, and on chill winter nights a fire burns in the sitting room. There are huge baths to relax in, and plenty of rugs to snuggle under as you admire the views.

Food and Facilities

The temptation starts at breakfast, with Eggs Benedict and a mouthwatering array of fruits, meats and pastries served on the deck overlooking the treetops. Lunch and evening meals are served in the neighbouring Zinzi restaurant, but we’d encourage our guests to get out and try the selection of scrumptious options in nearby Plettenburg Bay.

Activities at Tsala Treetop Lodge

At Tsala Treetop Lodge you’re smack in the centre of the Garden Route, so there’s a seemingly endless array of things to do. To mention a few: whizzing through the treetops of the Tsitsikamma Forest on zip wires, cruising on the Knysna Lagoon, horse riding, and taking scenic flights over the surrounding area.
