Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Silo sits on a quay on Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront.

Rooms at The Silo

Each of the rooms, including the Penthouse Suite, has been lovingly designed to showcase its own individual style, combining industrial character and contemporary flair, with furniture and works of art sourced from around the world.

They are wonderfully comfortable and come with all of the amenities you could wish for. The uniquely-designed pillowed-glass windows, inspired by grain kernels and built to resemble lanterns glowing above the harbour, offer guests stunning views across Cape Town.

Food & Drink

The Silo is home to a rooftop terrace restaurant where you can enjoy delicious cuisine and take in the views out to sea. The more relaxed Granary Café is a great spot for lighter meals and afternoon tea, whilst the Wilanston Bar offers a great choice of drinks and snacks.

Facilities

There is a glass pool on the rooftop as well as a gym if you’re looking to be active during your stay.

Activities at The Silo

Guests staying at The Silo can enjoy a full range of Cape Town activities. Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and the Cape Winelands are all close to the hotel and well worth exploring, while scenic helicopter trips, paddleboarding adventures and tours to the Cape Peninsula are all on offer.

Meanwhile, art lovers don’t have to venture very far - as well as striking African art on display throughout the Silo, with the hotel holding its own changing exhibitions, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) is just below the hotel, which is the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world.
