rooms at Cellars-Hohenort

The Cellars-Hoenhort’s 52 rooms overlook the iconic Table Mountain and the hotel’s neatly manicured lawns, and are traditionally elegant in their design. Some of the Double Rooms open onto a terrace overlooking the garden, and Premier Suites have their own garden space. For the ultimate in exclusive luxury, book the Madiba Villa, named for the legendary Nelson Mandela, and self-contained in a corner of the garden with its own private driveway entrance.

food & drink

Cuisine at the Cellars-Hoenhort draws on the natural bounty of the Constantia Valley to deliver exquisite food which is both artful and delicious. At Greenhouse, one of South Africa’s finest restaurants, delicate gourmet dishes are served up based on seasonal local produce, such as Indian Ocean tuna and Cape Town octopus. For a more relaxed and conservative dining experience, head to The Conservatory, where delicious, hearty dishes include barbequed springbok and Cape Malay rubbed line fish. The Martini Bar is a sophisticated spot to enjoy an evening cocktail.

The hotel’s beautiful landscaped gardens have garnered awards for their beauty and are great for walking, relaxing, and spotting the hundreds of indigenous flowers and plants which live here. There are also two swimming pools providing a respite to the afternoon sun, and a tennis court if you fancy working up a sweat. The Fresh Wellness Spa offers a range of relaxing treatments, including the signature Five Senses Massage, which use organic products and are delivered by expert therapists. There’s also a hair salon on-site, and a boutique where you can pick up one-of-a-kind homeware, clothing, jewellery and ceramics courtesy of some of South Africa’s leading designers.
