rooms at olive exclusive

Each of Olive Exclusive’s 7 suites are decorated to reflect a different region of Namibia – Caprivi, Etosha, Erongo and Kunene – through photographs, unique artworks and the use of materials associated with each area. Bathrooms feature deep free-standing baths and a range of organic and eco-friendly products. Premier Suites overlook the olive grove and valley beyond, and feature large decks with plunge pools, sun loungers and seating. Junior Suites are set around private courtyards with outdoor seating.

food & drink

The Olive Restaurant is a funky space, with modern-style tables and chairs offset by beautiful tribal photographs on the walls and organic light fittings made from reassembled trees. Food is served all day, with a Continental spread complemented by hot options at breakfast, and lunch and dinner provided a la carte. The menu changes according to the seasons and availability of fresh ingredients, and encompasses a wide range of international classics. The bar boasts a wide selection of top-quality whiskeys.

facilities

The hotel’s swimming pool and outdoor seating area in the garden are great places to escape the heat and bustle of Windhoek. In addition to the restaurant and bar, there’s a lounge area and also a small boutique, where you can pick up a souvenir of your stay. The Olive Exclusive is a great hotel for families, and kids of all ages are welcome.

activities at olive exclusive

Windhoek is a sleek, modern city which provides a great respite from the challenges of travel in rural Namibia. At the National Museum of Namibia, you can learn about the country’s struggle for independence in Windhoek’s oldest building, which dates back well over a hundred years. The Tintenpalast, home to Nambia’s parliament, was constructed entirely from indigenous materials and is surrounded by beautiful gardens, while the city’s most recognisable building is Christuskirche, a Lutheran church built in 1907. If you’re missing the wilderness, head to Daan Viljoen just outside the city, where you can spot zebra, springbok and warthog, among many other creatures.
