Rooms at Ntwala Island Lodge

With just four luxurious suites, the lodge boasts a wonderfully intimate ambience. Each spacious suite is situated high in the foliage above the rapids, with its own private plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers and a lounge extending out over the water below. Break into your stash of South African wine and imbibe the tranquillity of the surroundings in your swing chair or the outside day bed.

Food and Facilities

Upon arrival at the lodge, you’ll be allocated your own motorboat and private driver for zipping about on this vast flourishing wetland. Dine with the other guests at the Cape Town restaurant in the evening, where you’ll be served freshly prepared African fare, or opt for a more intimate dinner in a private spot beneath the stars.

Activities at Ntwala Island Lodge

Let your guide take you on private game cruises or birdwatching boat rides, try your hand at fly fishing to catch the endemic Tiger Fish, or hike to a 2000 year-old baobab tree. Day trips to the world famous Victoria Falls, situated some 70 km away by road, can also be organised from the lodge.
