Hotel Overview

Where

Walvis Bay, just south of Swakopmund.

Rooms at Pelican Point

Nine suites are situated at the foot of the lighthouse, each with coastal-themed names. While all rooms offer magnificent beach vistas from their private decks, opt for the Captain’s Cove Suite for 360-degree views of the ocean ahead and the Namib Desert backdrop.

Food and Facilities

Delectable three-course dinners are served at the scenic restaurant, incorporating the freshest of ingredients to be washed down with a fine South African wine. Gaze out to sea through its large floor-to-ceiling windows, where you might spot a seal basking on the shore or a dolphin jumping in the distance.

Activities at Pelican Point

Marvel at nature all around you, watching flocks of cormorants and flamingos feeding in the lagoon, while seals, dolphins and whales can be spotted further out in the deeper waters. To witness the wildlife activity up close, walk out to the old jetty situated some 800 metres from the lodge, taking a picnic with you for a truly spectacular lunch.
