Doro Nawas

In the Aba-Huab River valley, in central Damaraland.

15 standard units and one family unit are scattered across the Doro Nawas grounds, their natural stone walls and thatched roofs blending seamlessly into the environment. The lodge’s glass doors gaze over the spectacular vistas, while their private verandas are the perfect spot for romantic stargazing under the night’s sky.

The main building houses both indoor and outdoor dining areas, along with a residential pool area and bar. Finish your day with a relaxing cocktail at sunset, climbing the staircase to the roof terrace to admire the diverse panoramas of savannah and grassland, where small canyons and dry riverbeds extend to the horizon.

On-foot safaris and game drives are the main activity here, on which you may spot elephant, gemsbok and springbok, or perhaps the endangered black rhino or cheetah if you’re lucky. Alternatively, take a day trip to see the nearby prehistoric rock engravings at Twyfelfontein: Namibia’s first World Heritage Site.
