Hotel Overview

Where

On the northern tip of Bazaruto Island, a 20 minute seaplane ride from Vilanculos.

Rooms at Pestana Bazaruto Lodge

The 40 thatched roof suites are some of the largest in Mozambique, and yet they still maintain that traditional island style. Inside, you’ll find pretty much all the modern amenities you could want, including air-con and satellite TV, but the real treat is stepping out of your garden or sea-facing room, and leaping straight into beautiful turquoise sea.

Food and facilities

As with everything else at Pestana, dining is a little bit more sophisticated than you’d usually find in Mozambique, with a mixture of a la carte cuisine, an international buffet, and of course plenty of wonderfully fresh seafood. You can also relax with a cocktail at the laid-back pool bar.

Activities at Pestana Bazaruto Lodge

Pestana Bazaruto Lodge is a heavenly place to do nothing – either by the pool, or on the pristine stretch of white sand beach. For those who like to be a little more active, you can go canoeing, water-skiing, paddle-boating, and wake-boarding, or head out for some of the most amazing diving and snorkelling in the world at Dolphin Bay and Coral Gardens.Travelling with nippers? There’s also a kids’ club (and a spa for when you want to relax).
