Majete National Park. 2012 has brought the reintroduction of big cats to Mkulumadzi, making this Malawi's only Big 5 game reserve.

Eight open-fronted chalets on the banks of the Shire River. The style is safari-chic. Think cool, neutral tones, natural materials and a design that brings the outside in.

Food and Facilities

There’s a pool to take a dip in between game drives, a lapa for your evening campfire, and a viewing deck for wildlife-spotting throughout the day. Meals can be eaten both inside and outside, depending on the weather.

Game drives, walking safaris, and boat trips on the Shire River. For photographers, there is a hide overlooking a nearby waterhole, and visits to the local community are heartily recommended as a key part of Majete’s restoration story.
