High on the banks of the winding Mara River in the Masai Mara, with the best game viewing right on your doorstep. Il Moran is one of only a few select luxury camps located in the Game Reserve itself.

Rooms at Il Moran

Il Moran has ten spacious tents, each extremely private with handmade king size wooden beds and large en-suite bathrooms with Victorian rolltop baths, perfect after a long day out on the plains. The tents are arranged facing the river and so that you have as much privacy as you want from the other tents and guests.

Food and Facilities

You can choose to dine in several places at Il Moran, have a private dinner at your tent in the evening, choose from a tasty range at the buffet breakfast and lunch and also the option of having a bush breakfast during your morning game drive. The camp has a large mess tent where you can relax during the day and evening and chat to other guests about the day's findings.

Activities at Ill Moran

The classic activities are available here, starting with the early morning game drive and ending with an evening one with a few sundowners. The timings will allow you to see all the best game at a time of day when they are active. For a change in scenery they can arrange a visit to a local Masai village where you can learn of their culture and heritage.
