Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Golden Africa Safaris is a mobile camp, so the surroundings change – but they’re always nestled within the stunning Botswanan wilderness, following the natural movements of Africa’s game. Popular locations include Moremi, Khwai and Habu, situated on the Okavango Delta, as well as Savuti, Xaixai, Nxai Pans and Central Kalahari.

Rooms at Golden Africa Safaris

You’ll stay in a luxurious safari tent, which combines a sense of natural immersion with supreme comfort and a colonial décor which evokes times gone by. The big, comfortable double beds are adorned with animal print cushions, and there are rich dark wood furnishings and lovely copper sinks and fittings. The internal bathrooms have flushing toilets and showers, and the tents are lit by LED lights in the style of vintage lanterns.

Food & Drink

The food regularly receives rave reviews, with the camp’s chef whipping up an ever-changing menu of delicious international dishes. In the morning, a hearty breakfast spread of fruit, pastries and cooked options will give you the energy you need for a day’s safari adventures, while lunch might be a delicious picnic in the bush. Dinner is often a multi-course affair, followed by sociable drinks in the bar tent.

Activities at Golden Africa Safaris

Needless to say, safaris are the main event at Golden Africa Safaris with guests being treated to comfortable safari vehicles and experienced guides. Enjoy game drives and walks out into the bush to spot the iconic Big Five, alongside others like hyenas, antelopes and more. Take to the water on a unique river safari in dugout canoes, or venture on a night walk to observe the distinctive habits of nocturnal creatures.

Anthropological safaris are also on offer in which guests are welcomed to experience the lives of the Khoi San (bushmen) in Xaixai in the Western Kalahari, an area these hunter-gatherer people call home. To experience Botswana in unforgettable style, enjoy a scenic helicopter flight above the bush, or spend a few days exploring and understanding a different side of the ecosystem by boat.
