Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo is nestled in five acres of stunning cloud rainforest. It is a 30-minute walk to Machu Picchu and only minutes from the train station.

Rooms at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo

There is a range of accommodation to choose from, including eco-luxe one and two storey Andean village-style casitas, or cottages. There are also luxury villas: a great option for families. The cosy rooms feature king size beds fitted with cooling cotton sheets and Peruvian throws to add a pop of colour. The suites have toasty open fires and warm alpaca blankets, and some have open-air showers.

Food & Drink

The food here celebrates fine Andean cuisine with a contemporary twist, and is served in Café Inkaterra under a traditional thatched palm roof, surrounded by local artworks and overlooking the Vilcanota River - or enjoy it al fresco on the terrace or in the comfort of your room. The food is incredibly fresh, and some of the produce is grown in the hotel's gardens.

Facilities

After sightseeing, hiking and trekking, head to the Unu Spa for an Andean approach to an array of wellness treatments infused with natural botanical products such as the local white orchid. Enjoy a hot stone massage, a tea plantation treatment or relax in the Andean sauna, where stones are heated in a candlelit eucalyptus hut, before taking a refreshing dip in the pool.

The lodge's grounds include five gorgeous acres of cloud forest, where there are 160-plus species of birds to discover, countless butterflies and an orchid garden.

Activities at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo

Climb the Andes or walk through the sacred sites. It's not just about Machu Picchu here - check out Wayna Picchu, Putukusi, Apu Machu Picchu, the Mandor waterfalls, and local markets - as well as the renowned Inca Trail. If you want to walk the Inca Trail, you can do the traditional 3/4-night trail or take a one-day option. Both require permits that are booked months in advance - book early and enjoy a stay here at the end.
