Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel sits by the beach across the bay from the bustling harbour town of Puerto Ayora on the island of Santa Cruz.

Rooms at Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel

The rooms and suites have king and queen-sized beds and are decorated in vibrant but natural shades, with walls of dark volcanic stone. Elevated in the landscape and surrounded by trees and water, you can wake up to stunning views over the landscaped gardens or the ocean. The bathrooms have biodegradable products as part of the hotel's commitment to the environment (you don't have to worry about your environmental impact here - the hotel also has its own solar panels, water treatment plant and waste and composting systems).

The private balconies are designed for relaxation, with hammocks and deep comfortable wicker chairs for making the most of the views.

Food & Drink

Seafood features heavily on the menu, which combines Ecuadorian and international dishes, with both buffet and a la carte options - and many of the ingredients are picked from the hotel’s own organic garden.

Facilities

Have a swim in the pool followed by a cocktail at the poolside bar.

Activities at Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel

The hotel handily has its own yacht, the Sea Lion, which is ideal for exploring the surrounding islands at your own pace, on shorter half-day or full-day trips - a fantastic option for those who prefer not to spend too much time on the water. A full programme of activities includes snorkelling, kayaking and diving amidst the spectacular marine life of the Galapagos.

Back on land, why not try mountain biking? You are less than ten minutes from the shops and restaurants of Puerto Ayora, and only a 15-minute walk away from the Charles Darwin Research Station, while giant tortoises, lava tunnels and the beautiful Tortuga Bay also aren't far away.
