Dos Lunas is a boutique hotel in a farmhouse on a traditional ranch in the Argentine province of Cordoba. The main building dates back one hundred years and has been lovingly restored into a comfortable hotel while retaining its original, historic character. Horses are still kept on the ranch and are the best way to explore the beautiful countryside around the hotel, which extends to thousands of acres. A range of guided rides and walks are on offer ranging in length and difficulty.

Dos Lunas is surrounded by 2,300 hectares of unspoilt wilderness and natural beauty, with the local landscape comprising huge mountains, thick forest and mysterious caves. All lie waiting to be explored with a range of guided horse rides and treks.

The rooms at Dos Lunas are supremely comfortable while reflecting the hotel’s history with a traditional design; they feature elegant wrought iron beds and light fittings, and shutters, wardrobes and other furnishings carved from dark wood. The en-suite bathrooms feature beautiful bathtubs.

Food & Drink

Each day at Dos Lunas begins in the hotel’s breakfast room, where a spread of homemade bread, tea, natural juices, cereals, local fruit jams and delicious pastries are to be found. Traditional Argentine barbecue is on offer in the Quincho, and a range of afternoon tea and treats are available at the terraced pool bar.

Facilities

Dos Lunas’ beautiful outdoor swimming pool offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, and is the perfect place to wind down after a day’s riding or adventuring in the countryside. There’s also a playroom with TV and board games, and a cosy living room where you can relax with a drink or a book from the hotel library.

Activities at Dos Lunas

It goes without saying that horse riders will love Dos Lunas, with a range of guided rides on offer throughout the countryside. These vary from short rides of one to two hours around the huge clods and mountains which dot the landscape, offering stunning views, to longer rides along the banks of the Copacabana River. Once a month, unforgettable night rides take place lit by the full moon. If horse riding’s not your thing, a variety of treks are on offer taking in forests and the nearby caves of Ongamira.
