2 nightsBUENOS AIRES

You will begin this amazing journey with a flight to Buenos Aires, where old world meets new in the buzzing European-style city. Radiating charisma, you will stay in the divine Alvear Palace in the Recoleta district for two nights to explore one of our favourite South American cities. Buenos Aires is a joy to walk around, with its 16th century main plaza and architecture and it’s fantastic food. Wandering the streets, have a picnic at the Reserve Ecologica Constranera Sur, visit the presidential palace and the famous ‘Evita’ balcony or simply people-watch as you leisurely sip a delicious coffee on the streets of this energetic city.

With its strengthened hull and 1A ice-class notation, this is the perfect vessel for luxury expedition travel, offering the perfect blend of luxury and comfort for carrying travellers to the most remote corners of the world. 10 nightsAntarctic Peninsula

After two days spent crossing the Drake Passage and Antarctic Sound, you will wake up to stunning ocean views each morning as you sail around the Antarctic Peninsula. Highlights of the journey will vary with each sailing but may include Neko Bay with its immense glacier, Pleneau Island and Port Charcot, a popular nesting site for colonies of gentoo penguin.

Cruising between frozen fjords and glaciers on zodiac excursions to the shore, keep your eyes peeled for minke, humpback and southern right whales as they breach the dark waters. Why not send a postcard home from Port Lockroy, the world’s most southerly operational post office, as a memento of your trip?

Heading north of the Antarctic Peninsula, visit Deception Island in the South Shetland Islands, located in the caldera of an active volcano and home to elephant seals plus prolific birdlife. After navigating the icy waters of the Southern Ocean, the ship will return north through the Drake Passage before reaching Ushuaia.
