Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Hideout Ranch is in Shell Valley in gorgeous north-central Wyoming, nestled at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains.

Rooms at Hideout Ranch

Your home during your stay will be one of the Western-style log cabins or casitas, which have an impossibly evocative old-world atmosphere while still offering the very height of modern comfort and luxury. The opulent Hideout Homes offer even more luxury and seclusion, feeling a world away yet just a ten-minute walk from the main ranch building.

Food & Drink

Hearty western fare with a stunning view is the order of the day at the restaurant, which showcases seasonal, fresh produce from the ranch’s very own kitchen gardens. The chefs will ensure you don’t leave for a day’s exploration without a delicious packed lunch, while an outdoor cook-out in the fresh country air is a weekly highlight.

Facilities

There is a gorgeous pool where you can cool off with a dip, and a pool house were you can relax in the shade.

Activities at Hideout Ranch

This is prime horse-riding country, and with close to 650,000 acres you won’t ride the same trail twice. Courses are available for all abilities, from complete beginners to advanced riders looking to refine their horsemanship.

For those less interested in all things equine, there’s still plenty to get absorbed in, from fly-fishing and trap shooting to canoeing and archery, while history buffs can get lost in the dinosaur tracks and dig sites that pepper the area.
