Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Crimson is near downtown Jasper, with a scenic backdrop of the mountains of Jasper National Park.

Rooms at The Crimson

The Crimson’s rooms and suites have a traditional design, with retro mid-century light fittings, pebble-effect carpets and dark wood furniture. Red chairs, footrests and cushions add a splash of colour to the mainly white colour scheme, in a combination which pays homage to the colours of the Canadian flag. Suites boast fireplaces, seating areas with big comfy sofas, and full kitchens, so you can enjoy a night in if you don’t fancy eating out.

Food & Drink

The hotel’s restaurant is a cosy spot, with flashes of the same crimson colour as the rooms and huge, circular booth-style seating. For breakfast, enjoy a diverse international buffet spread of pastries, fresh fruit and granola, and more substantial options such as steak and eggs. For dinner, the menu offers hearty, restorative dishes which pay tribute to the mountain environment: think elk and bison burgers, homemade Yorkshire puddings stuffed with Alberta ribeye steak, and Canadian cod & chips.

Facilities

If you still don’t feel well enough exercised after a day’s adventures in Jasper, the hotel’s indoor pool and gym are available. Skiers have the use of a locker to store their equipment, and there’s also a shuttle to and from the slopes.

Activities at The Crimson

Jasper National Park, the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, is right on your doorstep and lies waiting to be explored. The park is a playground for outdoor activities, whether you’re into adventurous ice climbing or just looking for a gentle hike. Dog-sledding is an exhilarating way to experience the landscapes of Whiskey Creek, while skiing is a popular seasonal activity in Marmot Basin. Don’t forget to spend some time in the town of Jasper itself, home to some cosy restaurants, a brewery and live music bars.
