2 nightsMarrakech

Marrakech is famously busy, buzzy and beautiful. You’ll love the time you spend getting to know the bustling streets, colourful souks and lantern-lit courtyards - this magical city is evocative and striking, and just bursts with life. From here you could take a balloon ride over the Atlas Mountains for incredible vistas, or revel in history as you tour the city’s magnificent mosques. Your home for two nights will be Dar Mo’da, which has everything you need for a chic escape from Marrakech’s lively medina. It is small and tranquil, with a private balcony for each suite and a delightful roof terrace with stunning views of the city.

3 nightsAit Bougmez Valley

The desert leg of your trip begins with the remote and unspoilt Ait Bougmez Valley, which is nicknamed the ‘happy valley’ for how simply the people of the area live, and how pristine and perfect the environment is. Surrounded by high peaks, patchwork fields cover the base of the valley, creating a surreal and beautiful panorama.

This is a very active and exciting part of the trip as you’ll be doing two full days of walking to really immerse yourself in the landscapes and properly explore.

Your hotel in the valley will be Touda Ecolodge, a traditional-style guesthouse which is located at the foot of the M’Goun mountain, within a Berber village - giving you a real feeling of traditional rural life in the area. Enjoy an in-depth photography course - an amazing way to discover the area for yourself and learn some tricks and techniques to make your photographic memories look amazing.

1 nightAit Benhaddou

Ait Benhaddou is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for Prince of Persia and The Mummy amongst other blockbusters, due to its dramatic clay architecture and beautiful natural scenery. There are few places that feel so authentic, and it seems it has hardly changed since its 11^th century origins. Here you can take a horse ride around a historic kasbah, or enjoy a private Moroccan cookery class.

Your hotel, Kasbah Tebi, is based inside a 400-year-old ksar (castle), and the inside is luxurious but maintains completely traditional features – high arches, rustic walls and cosy lantern light.

1 nightM’hamid

Your journey now takes you to the palm tree oasis of M’hamid in the Zagora province. Bursting with rich and entwining cultures of Bounou Berbers, Ouled Driss Arabs and nomads, you can experience first-hand this diverse microcosm of Morocco by visiting the Museum of Traditional Nomadic Life, or one of the seven kasbahs, and explore the sand dunes by camel. For your one-night stop here you will stay in the stylish desert lodge retreat of Dar Azawad. It showcases classic Moroccan flavour in its architecture, décor, cuisine and wellness treatments, including a traditional hammam. After a busy day of exploring you can unwind and cool off in the Eden-like garden beside the outdoor pool, basking in the beauty of the acacia, mint, basil and cotton plants, as sheep, camels and turtles meander around you.

2 nightsErg Chigaga

From the gates of the desert to within it, your next stop is the Erg Chigaga Luxury Private Camp. With only sand dunes in sight, for two nights the bustling and murmurs of modern life will fade away in this desert paradise. And yet, inside your tent you’ll feel like the Sultan of Brunei. You’ll sleep under the stars in a king-sized bed and have your own ensuite bathroom – and that’s not even the best bit. The truly spectacular thing about this camp is the range of activities on offer, despite its remote location. Spend your days riding camels or quad biking through the otherworldly terrain. For a perfect end to the day, linger over a romantic dinner and sundowners in the dunes, whilst stargazing in the vast African skies and listening to live traditional music. This is the Maldives of desert camping.

2 nightsSkoura

To finish off your adventure your final destination is the lush oasis of Skoura. This medieval town allows you to once again completely engage with day-to-day Moroccan life. Visit the buzzing market and allow your senses to overload on the aromas of spices and herbs. Or wander over to the breathtaking historic mudbrick castles. Your sanctuary for your two-night stay is the entrancing Les Jardins de Skoura, where your every need will be attentively cared for. Nestled in lush palm groves, this dreamy, natural haven is the perfect way to finish your adventure. Relax on a lounger as the sun’s rays glisten across the pool, and wander through the shaded olive trees in the sense-infusing gardens. The food is a real tribute to Moroccan and French specialities: dine under the stars on the terrace, with candle lanterns creating a warm and relaxing glow.
