There are just 11 rooms at Theva Residency which maintains the intimate, home-from home feel, whilst the minimalist Zen-style design is the perfect antidote to Kandy’s bustle and vibrancy. Here you’ll wake up in crisp cotton bed-linen, and enjoy invigorating views of the mist-canopied mountains through the floor to ceiling windows.

Food and facilities

At breakfast you’ll be greeted with the aroma of home-made breads and jams, followed by East-meets-West fusion cuisine for lunch and dinner. One of our favourite ways to end the day is with a dip in the infinity pool, or by sipping cocktails on the terrace as the sun goes down over the mountains.

Activities at Theva Residency

Theva Residency is just close enough to explore Kandy, whilst offering a relaxing retreat in the evenings. Take a tour around the city with the local guide, and inject your Sri Lanka holiday with colour as you visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth; pick up treasures and antiques from the markets, and visit the exotic botanical gardens. Back at Theva Residency, the surrounds offer you totally contrasting nature-based experiences, from bird-watching, trekking past waterfalls, and visiting elephant bathing sites.
