Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Rajmahal Palace RAAS Jaipur sits in green lawns in the old part of Jaipur, within walking distance of Hawa Mahal and the City Palace.

Rooms at Rajmahal Palace RAAS Jaipur

As you follow the curving marble staircase and walk through the flower-covered hallways to your luxurious room, keep an eye on the wallpaper, as it tells the many stories of Jaipur and its illustrious rulers. From polo ponies and peacock arches to elements from the royal crest, such as a lion and a horse under a sun, the specially-crafted wallpaper gives each room its unique theme.

As well as walls that act as artworks, the pastel-coloured rooms feature original mirrored doors, modern furniture and a dressing room. If you are a fan of powder blue, go for the Mountbatten Suite, a stylish one-bedroom suite with a drawing room, a dressing room, a pantry, a superb cut-glass chandelier and an antique four-poster bed.

Food & drink

Head to the bright and striking 51 Shades of Pink dining room for a cheerful breakfast. Alternatively, settle for the brightly-lit corners of the Colonnade, where you can sit al fresco tables with views over the garden. As the sun goes down, have afternoon tea on the manicured lawns, nibbling on freshly-baked goodies, or sip on the tasty cocktails in the trophy-encased Polo Bar.

For more informal dining and a delicious Jaipur curry, head to the Orient Occident for its dishes of jungli maas (tender mutton cooked with red chillies and garlic) and bhindi masaledar (deep-fried okra).

Facilities

The Art Deco pool is the perfect place to cool off, especially as it is surrounded by tranquil gardens, and has great views across the hotel. There is also a spa offering a range of massages and treatments, designed to relax the mind and body.
