Activities at Noor us Sabah Palace

Bhopal is an ancient, fascinating city with a unique cultural mix, home to one of India’s largest Muslim populations. This aspect of the city’s history is evident in sights like the Taj-ul-Masjid, built by Shah Jahan Begum, one of Bhopal’s female Muslim rulers. While not quite living up to her aim of the biggest mosque in the world, it’s pretty majestic and is one of the largest Islamic buildings in India. The state museum contains fascinating archaeological finds from the surrounding area, and Madhya Pradesh’s indigenous history can be traced at the Tribal Museum, which was built by 1500 tribespeople using materials from their villages and contains vivid exhibits on tribal life.
