LUX* Le Morne is a deluxe resort in a prime location on a magnificent long beach on the south-west coast - perfect for beautiful sunsets. The pavilion-style rooms have been elegantly furnished in dark wood and neutral colours and have been designed to offer calming havens to relax in. They have a light and airy ambience, and feature plush beds, refined wallpaper and bespoke woven rugs, as well as chic bathrooms, which come with standalone bathtubs, tropical showers and spa-worthy toiletries.

The elegant white shutters open to reveal stunning views, and there are also tranquil sundecks with comfortable seating, looking out over the scenery - best enjoyed with a cocktail in hand!

There's a wide variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. The resort's main restaurant is The Kitchen, which serves delicious international cuisines from India to Italy - enjoy it either indoors in the airy dining area or al fresco on the terrace overlooking the glistening sea. This restaurant creates an entertaining atmosphere with its show kitchens and authentic island entertainment in the evenings.

At least one evening should also be spent at East, the Thai restaurant, gazing out over the lagoon with a sumptuous curry. Meanwhile, the Keen on Green restaurant offers delicious plant-based dishes that have been created using sustainable and organic produce, and are bursting with taste and flavour.

During the heat of the day be sure to try the hotel's very own homemade ice cream from ICI, or cool off with a refreshing Ti Punch rum cocktail from Vik's. Evening entertainment is low-key and sophisticated – expect soft jazz and pianists.

The amazing spa covers over 2,400 square metres and is a serene and beautiful space offering a wide range of pampering treatments, which you can enjoy indoors or outdoors, and there’s also a hammam, a sauna and a Jacuzzi. The resort has numerous swimming pools where you can cool off with a dip or relax poolside and soak up the sunshine and the gorgeous views.

Land sports are plentiful and include quad-biking, horse riding and tennis, and out at sea, with such beautiful lagoons on the doorstep, it’s hard not to enjoy yourself out on the water and under it. Go for a leisurely sail on a catamaran or for something more energetic, there’s kite-surfing, water-skiing and diving - with such an array of coral reefs you are also bound to enjoy some incredible diving during your stay.
