2 nightsROME

The first stop on your Italian adventure is Rome, the enchanting Eternal City, which is packed full of historic gems such as the Colosseum and the Vatican (don’t miss Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel) as well as modern delights such as world-class cuisine and designer shopping on the fashionable Via Condotti. How about a city tour on the back of a Vespa? This is a fantastic way to see Rome – and in true local style! We recommend staying at Hotel de Russie, a luxurious haven in the heart of the city, near many of the top sights, which is a perfect spot for relaxing after a day’s exploring – especially on your private terrace overlooking the city, or over a delicious dinner in the Secret Garden.

2 nightsCAPRI

Your scenic journey from Rome today sees you hopping on a train to Sorrento, followed by a boat trip to the island of Capri and the serene Capri Palace in Anacapri, a favourite jet set haunt. Enjoy a private boat trip in one of Capri’s typical ‘gozzo’ boats, accompanied by a professional sailor. Sail around the island, including secluded bays and beautiful sea caves such as the famous Grotta Azzurra (the stunning Blue Grotto) and the Grotta Verde. During the trip, you can swim in the crystal clear waters and climb the steps to see the dramatic rock formations of the Grotta Bianca. Enjoy a delicious lunch onboard or sail to one of the excellent coastal restaurants for fresh fish. After lunch, relax in the sunshine on deck.

3 nightsPRAIANO

Take the boat back to Sorrento, where we will transfer you to Praiano, which sits between Amalfi and Positano on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Whitewashed houses tumble down the mountainside towards the sea in this photogenic spot, where you can stroll around characterful piazzas and in the cool of 12th and 13th-century churches, and linger over a limoncello and some fresh pasta in a cosy trattoria. Stay at Casa Angelina, which has stylish white interiors and a lovely pool where you can enjoy the Mediterranean vistas. Spend a day visiting the colourful cliffside village of Positano on Casa Angelina’s complimentary shuttle service, and return in the evening, when Praiano becomes even more beautiful at night as the lights go up – at sunset, head to the terrace with a cocktail or two.
