Hotel Overview

Where

Poseidonion Grand Hotel is three hours drive across the Peloponnese or two hours by Flying Dolphin (high speed ferry) from Athens.

Rooms at the Poseidonion

After five years of meticulous restoration, the Poseidonion Grand Hotel has now been returned to its former glory. With 52 rooms ranging from a deluxe with a garden or sea view, the Honeymoon Suite with private pool discreetly located in the new wing in the garden to the aptly named “Cupola Suite” which sits in the dome of the building.

Food and Facilities

Dining at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel is a stereotypical Mediterranean vision of al fresco fine dining. The menu at the Aneton restaurant is contemporary Greek - catch of the day served with steamed greens from the hotel's own organic garden and shares the verandah with the Freud Oriental which follows the theme of it’s Sister hotel in Athens in preparing unique interpretations of Japanese cuisine. Follow a fantastic meal up with a signature Grace cocktail; a refreshing blend of vodka, pear purée, honey and fresh lemongrass.

Activities at the Poseidonion

While relaxation is the name of the game at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel, venturing out around the island is a must. The island is surrounded by beautiful coves and pine woods that lead down to wonderfully secluded sand and pebbled beaches, many of which are only accessible by sea and are perfect for swimming and diving. Take the short trip down to the old port – either on foot or by donkey and cart - to enjoy freshly caught seafood at the portside restaurants. The nearby island of Hydra is also worth visiting, if only for another delicious meze lunch beside the water.
