A dream destination for the whole tribe, the Cape Sounio Grecotel Exclusive Resort is a stylish family hotel just south of Athens and will be your home for the first five nights. Sitting between a pine forest and the still waters of Sounion bay, you and your family will have a wealth of land or water based activities to choose from: bathe like an Ancient Greek in the indoor heated hydrotonic pool, go sailing to nearby coves and islets, play tennis or beach volleyball, have a fairy-tale party (organised by the fantastic kids’ club), hike through the Sounion National Park or learn about the coastline’s compelling mythology, with a trip to the famous archaeological site, the Temple of Poseidon.

Hopping from Greece’s southern point to its northern peninsula, you will spend a week at the thousand-acre oasis that is the Sani Beach Resort. With plenty going on in and around the hotel, there’s more than enough for little kids, big kids and those who are kids at heart. Take part in some of the oldest activities in the world, such as archery and beekeeping, get your hands on some of high-tech equipment at the PADI diving school and marina sailing academy or try something a little more new age, such as paddle board yoga. For the football-mad, you can set your children loose at the Sani Football Academy to burn off any extra energy, while those who prefer to mellow out, the hotel’s cooking classes and spa treatments are just the ticket.
