Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Surrounded by 5,000 acres of private nature refuge, just two hours from Brisbane.

Rooms at Spicers Canopy Ecotents

There are ten solar panelled tents, each tastefully designed with king or twin sized beds, fine fabrics, beige décor and cosy armchairs. The canvased tents have hardwood floors, plenty of light through large meshed windows and a covered deck, perfect for quiet afternoons.

Food and drink

You’ll find the dining facilities in the main hub, where meals are served on a large table so that guests can share stories about their day’s activity. The two course menu is a hearty, rustic take on home style fare and courses are made from seasonal produce. If you want a hand in your own meal, you can work with the kitchen team to prepare your own pizza and cook it in the wood fire oven.

Facilities

There is a communal space with a stone fireplace for evenings spent relaxing and star-gazing and if your muscles ache a bit after your hike, you can visit the Spa Anise at the sister property, Spicers Peak Lodge, for a rejuvenating massage.

Activities at Spicers Canopy Ecotents

The four-day trail itinerary is a great way to pack in views of Mt Mitchell and Spicers Peak as well as for exploring the nooks and crannies of Millar Vale Creek and for following in the footsteps of early settlers.
Also in the area, you can go mountain biking along the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, learn tips and techniques from award-winning landscape photographer, Ben Messina, on a photography session or experience first-hand the skill of wine production and blending – a great pre-dinner activity.
