Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The luxurious Aqua Mekong, from the stable of Aqua Expeditions, glides between the cities of Saigon, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap on Mekong Delta cruises of three, four and seven days.

Rooms onboard Aqua Mekong

The 20 suites showcase a stylish design featuring sustainable materials and local artisanal touches. Gaze out at the fascinating banks of the river through the generous panoramic windows in your spacious suite. Each one has a comfortable four-poster bed (twin beds are also an option), and its own outdoor balcony and day beds, as well as a private sitting area to relax in. The sleek bathrooms, which have walk-in rainforest showers and dual sinks, also look out over the river.

Some suites can be interconnected, making them perfect for families - or for couples wanting more space, this can also create an elegant 'floating apartment' with a bedroom and a generous living area.

Food & Drink

Drink and dine alongside the pleasant panoramas at the boat’s outdoor bar and restaurant. The delicious menus are inspired by the flavours and cultures along the Mekong, and you'll get to shop for fresh ingredients with the chefs in the markets. Dishes include smoked fish, grilled river prawns, Vietnamese catfish, vegetable dumplings and desserts such as Vietnamese chocolate fondant.

Facilities

For equally stylish downtime, watch a film under the stars, enjoy lectures and screenings in the theatre and visit the library, where you can learn more about the landscapes you're passing through. Take a dip in the outdoor plunge pool or relax with a tropical cocktail in a poolside cabana, where you can admire the ever-changing views and observe life on the Delta. Relax with some tai chi on the upper deck, or indulge in a Khmer massage or a Vietnamese aromatherapy treatment in the spa.

Activities onboard Aqua Mekong

A cruise onboard the Aqua Mekong is all about immersing yourself in the local culture and venturing off the beaten track. Along the way, enjoy excursions in private speedboats with expert guides - with a 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, you're guaranteed exceptional service and hospitality during your cruise.

Visit rural markets in Cambodia and remote floating fishing villages, attend a spiritual ceremony in a Buddhist temple, explore Chinese pagodas, and taste traditional dishes at a family home in Vietnam.

Your itinerary will vary according to the time of year you visit. During high-water season (mid-August to November), you'll travel up the river to Siem Reap and see Tonle Sap Lake, a spectacular freshwater lake whose banks are home to more than three million people. During low-water season (December to mid-August), you'll venture further inland and explore the bamboo-stilted villages on the riverbanks, and enjoy kayaking trips and cycle rides across the verdant paddy fields and emerald forests. Keep an eye out for birds such as storks and pelicans.
