4 nightsKHAO LAK

A favourite of film directors, the impossibly beautiful Khao Lak won’t fail to wow. Relax and unwind at the beautiful Sarojin, which sits on a beautiful beach overlooking the Andaman Sea. As well as making time for lying in a hammock, and enjoying your private plunge pool, visit the Similan Islands on the Lady Sarojin yacht, and go snorkelling and diving among the colourful coral and marine life, including sharks, dolphins and manta rays – often described as ‘the rainforest of the sea’, this is one of the world’s top diving sites. You could also canoe into sea caves in the scenic Phang Nga Bay, and make the most of trails into the jungle on foot or mountain bike. In Khao Lak Lamru National Park, where cliffs drop down to tropical rainforest, secluded beaches and crystal blue waters, see flying lemurs, monkeys and tapirs. And if you’ve fallen in love with the elephants (and it’s hard not to), there are also plenty of opportunities to spend more time with them here.
