Hotel Overview

Where

On the island of Naka Yai, just off the southernmost tip of Phuket and accessible only by speedboat.

Rooms at The Naka Island

Consisting solely of 67 private wooden villas, sitting pretty amid the green coconut groves, The Naka Island is a castaway’s paradise – each Thai-style villa has its own pool and open-air sunken bathtub, just steps away from the cream-coloured sands of the beach.

Food and facilities

Generous helpings of stunning sea views come as standard at Tonsai, where the menu includes modern takes on international classics and authentic Thai dishes, using local and organic produce. My Grill focuses on specialties from the south of Thailand cooked in a wood-fire oven or charcoal grill, and served to you on the beach or in the outdoor dining area facing out to sea. Intimate dining options are also a specialty here at The Naka Island, be it private beachside dinner with your partner, a barbecue outside your villa or 24-hour in-room dining.

Activities at The Naka Island

Take to the turquoise-blue waters of the Andaman with some windsurfing, snorkelling or sea-kayaking; hike Phuket’s tropical jungle or get to know the Big Buddha, a much-revered local landmark.  Truthfully however, the desert island feel will make you want to do little else than bask in the sun and take the occasional dip in the pristine water.
