Gorilla Trekking and Golden Sands

Flying to Kigali, via Nairobi, you will be driven through the lush terraced countryside down to Volcanoes National Park. Here you will spend three nights at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, where you’ll be able to head up into the hills to trek gorillas and golden monkeys for an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience. With two beautiful lakes nearby, you can potter around their shores spotting the vibrant birdlife in between hikes or simply relax and take in the amazing views from the lodge.

After your stay in the misty 'Land of a Thousand Hills', you will be driven back to Kigali, where you will fly out to the beach haven, Zanzibar. Here you can rest your wary legs at the lovely Serena Inn in Stone Town, as after your time in the wilds, this is the perfect place to head out and explore the maze of shops and tiny streets, go out to dinner, and watch the sun set from the sea front. Flanked by an exotic mix of sultan's palaces, ancient dhow harbours and bright bazaars, your time at the hotel will be full of charming discoveries, ethnic elegance and Arabic opulence tied in with island sailing trips, spice tours and diving trips to some of the world’s most renowned sites. 

Now it's time for a divine, five-day escape to the beach for some serious R&R. Still staying on the island of Zanzibar, you will be taken to one of the best beachfront retreats. Spend your days here sitting back, digging your toes into the sand, and watching dhows float back and forth. You'll also want to make time for soaking up the sun, snorkeling along the offshore marine park, swimming with dolphins at Kizimkazi and feasting on coconut, fish and local spices. All before flying back to Nairobi for your return flight home.
