Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Beho Beho is part of the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania, one of the largest protected wilderness reserves on the continent.

Rooms at Beho Beho

Accommodation is a sophisticated blend of old and new with traditional East African bandas being renovated to the highest standards of modern design. Rooms at Beho Beho are spacious and airy, with open walled verandas bringing sweeping views of the majestic Selous wilderness into the heart of the living space.

Food & Drink

The camp unites around the dining table with both guides and guests sitting down to discuss the day’s events while enjoying a hearty meal together. Dinners are treated as a kind of ‘moveable feast’ being served in a range of locations from the bush, beside the pool or in the Eagle’s Nest (a spacious dining platform).

Facilities

The bar and billiards rooms often attract après safari antics, while other guests simply enjoy a late night drink on their own private veranda.

Activities at Beho Beho

It is possible to explore an array of the Selous’ most diverse ecosystems, from lush riverine forest, to miombo woodland and the waters of Lake Tagalala. Beho Beho specialises in guided walking safaris and game drives further out into the heart of the reserve, allowing you to get up close and personal with all the stunning wildlife the Selous has to offer. Boats also set off in the morning along Lake Tagalala in search of hippos, crocodiles and an amazing number of native bird species.
