The Virunga Mountains are world famous for their rich biodiversity and of course the mountain gorillas found here.
It is one of three places in the world where you can really get up close and see these majestic animals. There is much more to offer here than just gorillas: golden monkeys, the Buhanga Eco Park, the Musanze Caves and numerous hiking trails including a visit to the Dian Fossey tomb.
