White Pearl

Location: Bazaruto & the South Coast | Mozambique

Price guide: $$$$$ $350-$500 per person per night

White Pearl is a rare treasure on Mozambique’s lesser-explored south-east coast, combining barefoot bliss with a chic, boutique feel. This makes a refreshing contrast to some of Mozambique’s more rustic hotels, and is perfect for an ultra-exclusive beach escape after your safari.

Perfect forWhite Pearl combines beautifully with a safari in Kruger, KwaZulu-Natal, or Phinda, and is perfect for families, couples, and honeymooners who want something a little more sophisticated.

Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

White Pearl sits on the beautiful beach of Ponta Mamoli.

Rooms at White Pearl

It’s the gorgeous rooms at White Pearl that really set it apart: its private pool suites offering a stylish sanctuary after your safari adventure. The feel is fresh and contemporary, with driftwood tables, light fittings made of shells, and beautiful boutique touches that evoke that breezy Mozambique charm. Wake up to stunning views of the ocean, a private pool and outdoor shower, before padding down your private pathway to the beach.

Food & Drink

The food at White Pearl is traditional, but with a gourmet twist, offering rustic tapas and of course the freshest of seafood. The real joy is eating in such an elegant setting: lantern-lit and with the sound of crashing waves, followed by cocktails at the laid-back beach bar. The wonderful staff can also prepare you a picnic to have on the beach.

Facilities

Relax with a massage or a facial, courtesy of expert spa therapists - try the Pearl, a body and foot massage followed by a facial, aimed at restoring vital energies, or the  Jewel of Africa massage, which features warm salt crystals and coconut oil.

Activities at White Pearl

You’ll have over 2km of virtually deserted beach at White Pearl (Ponta Mamoli is frequently voted on of the loveliest beaches in Africa), and it’s a great opportunity to explore such a remote part of Mozambique.

As well as body-boarding and surfing, you can go riding down the beach or along the surrounding bush trails, go swimming with dolphins, and spot ancient loggerhead turtles in one of the protected diving sites. Diving is also amazing off Mozambique, with migrating humpback whales, plus there's the chance to swim with whale sharks between October and February.
